Northern Lights Legend

We folks that live in the Northern Continent have a great luxury of being able to watch the magnificent display of Mother Earth with her display of misty, multi-colored lights, as they flash across the sky for all to see.

It is said that the Northern lights lets us travel back in time to see how the Earth came to us.  We live in a world that spins in a perfect vertical position upon its axis.  The temperature must be just right and as we go back in time, we witness the great flood, where everything gets submerged and is lost.  As the water returns to normal the weight throws our planet off balance causing it to tilt to one side, causing long and dark periods in the North and South.

Not all is lost forever in the great flood, in the North comes a simple and God fearing people, known as the "Mongols", whom the great spirit has spared from death.  When they could no longer see the sun and feel it's warmth they would pray.  The Great Spirit would provide light for a journey to safety for the first people, this light would be called, The Northern Lights.
