Wakarusa Indiana

Wakarusa is a small town in Harrison and Olive townships in Elkhart County, Indiana.  The population is just over 2,000 people.  The name of Wakarusa was given in 1859.  The name Wakarusa meeans "Knee deep in mud" in Potawatomi.
