FireKeepers expanding

 

The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi is getting ready to expand according to the February edition of the tribe's Turtle Press newsletter.

According to the article, the tribe hired Thaiden-Boyd-Emery-Architects to expand the casino which opened August 5, 2009 on the corner of 11 mile road and East Michigan Avenue in Emmett Township.

The tribe recently surveyed visitors asking about the need for a hotel, and still has 40 of its 78 acres available for development.
