Larry Mitchell

Larry Mitchell is a member of the Prairie Band of Potawatomi located near Mayetta, Kansas.  He will be remembered as an accomplished poet who wrote about war, as seen through his eye's in a very well written and well known book called, The Ballard of Vietnam  most of the writing has a tone of not understanding the reasoning's for the Vietnam war and the ugliness of war written by a Potawatomi author who was one of the best story tellers of the Potawatomi tribe.  

Larry served in the rifle/company on Hill 805 and was often in a foxhole doing the most demanding thing that i can imagine from a human being.
